Adding Images and Files to Your Website
File hosting is a feature available in Educator Pages Premium. It allows you to upload pictures, documents, and other files and make them available on your website.
There are two ways to manage your files:
- While editing a page. Clicking a button in the editor to add an Image or a Link opens a panel of options. On that panel is a button labeled My Files. Clicking it will open your File Manager.
- When not editing a page, use the standalone File Manager. To upload and manage your files while not editing a page, access the standalone File Manager from your Educator Pages Premium menu, via the My Files link.
Uploading a New File
To upload a new file from within the File Manager, click the Choose File button on the top right of the window. This will open a file browser, from which you can navigate to the file on your computer. After you have selected the file you would like to upload, click the Upload button on the top right of the File Manager. If you’d like, you can also create folders to keep your files organized by clicking the New Folder button.
Adding a Picture to Your Page
From the editor, click the Image icon to open the image options panel, then click the My Files button to open the File Manager. From the File Manager click on the file you would like to add to your page. After you click the image, on the right side of the File Manager, click the Select button (you may have to scroll down to see it) which returns you to the image options panel where you can change settings. Click OK to add the image to your page.
Adding a Document or Other File to Your Page
Tip: Use your mouse/trackpad to select text on your page before completing the following steps, which will turn that text into a link to your file.
From the editor, click the Link icon to open the link options panel, then click the My Files button to open the File Manager. From the File Manager click on the file you would like to add to your page. After you click the file, on the right side of the File Manager, click the Select button (you may have to scroll down to see it) which returns you to the file options panel where you can change settings. Click OK to add the link to the file on your page.
Deleting a File
To delete a file, simply click on it within the File Manager, and in the preview pane on the right, click the Delete button (you may have to scroll down to see it!)
